I became interested in photography in the 70’s , after graduating I worked as a driver for Waltz Camera in Canton , these were the days when you took your film to the local drug store in town and in a couple of days you picked up your finished prints , I bought my first camera there and instantly got hooked . I attended some workshops and read every book I could find , not just about photography but all kinds of art . My early photographic interests were of course nature and architecture , They were always a good subject I think because they didn’t move . I took thousands of slides and prints in those days until I finally thought I’d try my hand at art fairs . I entered and was invited to juried art shows in Charleston , Charlotte , Cincinnati, and local shows closer to home , Art-A-Paloosa , Ohio Mart , WITAN French Market and more. I’m employed as a corporate photographer at Serra Auto Park in Akron , and now I live and work from my home studio in downtown Akron . My lighting skills have evolved over the years and I found that I’m deeply interested in the human face , the way light wraps and shapes and shows the personality , Portraits and head shots are now my primary focus .
