JW COOPER I started getting into photography in the early 70's.I had a job delivering film for a company in Canton, Ohio where they sold me my first camera, I was instantly hooked. I had to have every photo book I saw and through trial and error (mostly error) I learned to see the images. Composition after all is the basic feature off all artwork. I have to shoot, it is what keeps me sane. I like all kinds of subjects but it seems the one common denominator is Americana.I love the colors and patinas of things from the past, old cars, peeling paint, architecture and the interesting characters that I've met are the subjects in most of my art. I am currently a corporate photographer at an Akron car dealership and its allowing me some freedom to enter juried artshows, which I have always loved doing.
